FOR BANDS

Play at Lola

Hi, this is Lola Montez!

If you're reading this, you're probably going to play here. Great news! Below you'll find everything worth knowing about our stage and sound before the gig.

Stage
4.7 × 2.7 m

We're a small club and the gig takes place in our downstairs room. There's no raised stage: our stage is a carpeted section of the room, 4.7 by 2.7 metres, so space is tight. Please keep that in mind when choosing your gear, because here less is more really does help.

There are plenty of power outlets on stage, so sockets shouldn't be a worry. Still, it's worth bringing your own extension leads in case you plan to plug something in at an unusual spot.

FOH
XR18 · 16 in / 6 aux

The PA is a pair of active stereo Turbosound systems sized for the room. They can play clean and loud. Our mixer is a Behringer XR18, fully digital, with 16 inputs and 6 aux sends.

Monitors
1 wedge · up to 6 mixes

The 6 aux sends let us set up to 6 mono monitor mixes. Physically we have one stage wedge for the band, which can go anywhere on stage.

Microphones and other gear
2× SM58 · 2× DI

The band has two Shure SM58 microphones (with switches) at its disposal. We also own a drum mic set, but given the room's character we usually only mic the kick. On top of that we have two active DI boxes for instruments.

Drums
Pearl Export Select

We have a basic drum kit you can borrow for your show. It consists of a kick, a snare and two toms, plus Zildjian ZBT and Paiste 400/Alpha cymbals. If you'd like to use it, let the venue know no later than the day before the gig.

Lighting
4× LED PAR

We don't have a lighting tech on the team, so the stage lighting is static.

Arrival, soundcheck
2 h before the show

We suggest arriving no later than 2 hours before the scheduled start of the show. That gives us time to comfortably set up the stage and dial in your FOH and monitors. Cars can drive into the courtyard through the gate on Krupnicza street.
